Meine Güte, in der Woche vor der SDCC geht es am US-Markt aber gewaltig her. In einer Video-Ankündigung haben DC Comics nun endlich erste Infos zu ihrer Initiative „DC All In“ sowie dem damit verbundenen „Absolute DC Universe“ gegeben.
Im Anschluss des gerade laufenden „Absolute Power“ Events soll am 02. Oktober 2024 das „DC All In Special“ für den US-Markt erscheinen, welches sowohl als Startpunkt für Neuleser:innen als auch Dreh- und Angelpunkt das aufkommende „Absolute DC Universe“ fungieren soll.
Geschrieben von Scott Snyder und Joshua Williamson, wird das One-Shot als Flip-Book gestaltet, welches von beiden Seiten lesbar sein wird. Eine Seite wird mit dem Artwork von Daniel Sampere gestaltet sein, während die gegensätzliche Seite von Wes Craig gezeichnet wird. Die Ausgabe soll insgesamt einen Umfang von 64 Seiten haben.

Co-written by Scott Snyder (Absolute Batman) and Joshua Williamson(Superman), the flipbook DC All In Special #1 features art by Wonder Woman artist Daniel Sampere when read in one direction and Deadly Class co-creator and series artist Wes Craig when read in the other direction. The 64-page one-shot features a main cover by Sampere, with variant covers by Rafa Sandoval, Wes Craig, and John Giang.
In der Ankündigung wurden zudem gleich drei Titel unter der neuen „Absolute DC Universe“ Comics-Line angeteast.
So werden Scott Snyder und Zeichner Nick Dragotta an „Absolute Batman“ arbeiten, während Kelly Thompson und Hayden Sherman die Reihe „Absolute Wonder Woman“ übernehmen werden. Beide Titel sollen bereits im Oktober 2024 starten.
Ab November werden wir dann Jason Aaron und Rafa Sandoval an „Absolute Superman“ sehen.
Snyder launches this new universe with the release of Absolute Batman #1, featuring art by Nick Dragotta. In this iteration, fans will be introduced to a version of the Dark Knight that doesn’t have the money, mansion, or butler of his core-line counterpart. Readers will quickly find out what makes this the “Absolute” version of Batman when the debut issue arrives at participating comic book shops and digital retailers Wednesday, October 9.
