Tom Taylor & Darick Robertson mit neuem HELLBLAZER Comic für DC Black Label

DCs Imprint für erwachsene Leser „DC: Black Label“ bekommt tatsächlich neuen Conent, der nicht in erster Linie mit Batman zu tun hat, sondern mit keinem Geringeren als John Constantine: Hellblazer.

„Injustice“ und „DCeased“ Autor Tom Taylor tut sich mit Comic-Ikone Darick Robertson (u.a. „The Boys“, „Transmetropolitan“) zusammen, um die Black Label Reihe „Hellblazer: Rise and Fall“ unter die Leute zu bringen.

Taylor kommentierte die Ankündigung:

„Das ist ein Comic mit Ecken und Kanten. Doch ich wollte den Leser*innen genau den John liefern, den sie kennen. Ich will den Typen schreiben, der mit ’nem Grinsen aus den Schatten tritt, sich eine Zigarette anzündet und Antworten auf alles hat. Ich wollte eine Story voller Schocks und Traurigkeit und Siegen im Angesicht des blanken Horrors.“

Die Mini-Serie ist insgesamt auf drei Ausgaben angelegt und soll im kommenden September für den US-Markt starten. So dürften wir in der Jahresmitte kommenden Jahres sicherlich auch mit einem Release in deutscher Übersetzung bei Panini Comics rechnen.
